Welcome to the Regency Medical Center, a 50 bed specialty hospital of Winter Haven Hospital. Our primary focus is state-of-the-art maternity and surgical care, with a strong commitment to wellness promotion for the community.

Women's Services/Maternity Services

Our family-centered maternity unit provides individualized care and support for the special event of birth. A cheerful Mother-Baby unit offers new moms personalized attention and instruction.

Newborn Nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Equipped with sophisticated monitoring equipment and skillful, caring staff, the nursery provides care and observation of the newborn. The Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is for infants who are sick or born prematurely. Highly trained neonatologists and specially trained nurses look over our tiniest patients.

Gynecology

Specializes in care of women undergoing surgery or medical treatment. A free Preparing for Surgery class is available prior to surgery.

Mammography

The Imaging Center offers low cost screening mammograms to assist in the early detection of breast cancer.

Health and Wellness Library

Staffed by a full-time resource coordinator, this comfortable setting offers books, videos, online searches, and other resources for women.

Women's Health Updates

Free monthly seminars on selected topics presented by our physicians and health professionals.

Speakers Bureau

Offers free programs on women's health topics take to area businesses and community groups.

Lactation Services

The Regency has two International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant Specialists available part-time six days a week.

Each Lactation Consultant has extensive training and experience in breastfeeding management and counseling. The IBCLC credential is the only internationally recognized accreditation and requires recertification every five years, assuring that the consultants' knowledge and skills are kept up-to-date.

New mothers are given individual education and support while in the hospital and may also return for outpatient visits if more help is needed.
