Access Services provides 24 hours per day, seven days per week telephonic and face-to-face mental health assessments, crisis intervention and referral information regarding BHD services for any individuals within the Mid-Florida service area.

Individual, group and family outpatient counseling, case management, psychiatric consultation, psychological testing, and on-site services are available in Polk and Highands Counties to children and adolescents. Specialized sexual abuse treatment services are also offered to children, adolescents and their families.

School Based Services

Prevention, intervention, consultation and counseling services are provided to children and adolescents and their families on site at specific contracted schools in Polk County and Highlands County.

Children and adolescents in Polk County who are in need of daily growth oriented treatment services five days per week are served through the PACE Program in Winter Haven in coordination with the Polk County School Board.

Partial Hospitalization And Intensive Outpatient Programs

Children and adolescents who are in need of intensive mental health treatment and stabilization, but do not require 24-hour care are served through these programs.

Family Assistance Support Team (FAST), Family Service Support Process (FSSP), Dependency Court Program and Family Builders Program. These specialized services include prevention, crisis intervention, consultation, assessment and psycho-educational and treatment groups for children, adolescents, and their families through specific contracts for targeted communities and families within Polk, Highlands and Hardee counties.

The State of Florida, Department of Children and Families provide funding for some of these programs partially or in whole.
